Appnux Store Locator — privacy
The governing policy
The authoritative privacy policy for Appnux Store Locator is served from the application itself, is generated from the code it describes, and is the URL given to Shopify for App Store review:

What follows is a summary for people who would like the shape of it before reading the whole thing. Where the two differ, the linked policy wins.
What it can access
Appnux Store Locator has zero required Shopify data scopes. Optional permissions connect the features you enable. The app cannot read orders or customers.
These features request optional permissions when you enable them:
- Shopify location sync — reads the locations already in your Shopify admin so you do not have to re-enter them.
- Carried lines — reads product data for the lines each stockist carries.
- Find in store — reads product and inventory data so the widget can show availability at synced locations.
Leave those off and the app holds no Shopify permission at all.
What it stores
- Your locations — the addresses, hours, tags and coordinates you import or enter. This is your data, entered by you.
- Your settings — colours, labels, languages and any custom CSS.
- Search analytics — what shoppers searched for and roughly where from, without intentionally collecting shopper account IDs, session IDs, IP addresses or advertising identifiers. Free-text searches can contain personal information a shopper types.
- Messages sent through the optional forms — if you enable the stockist application or shopper inquiry forms, the details submitted through them, so you can reply.
How long it is kept
Search analytics become eligible for deletion after 90 days. Cleanup runs on the next eligible storefront or Analytics-page request. Shopper messages become eligible 90 days after being marked as handled; their cleanup runs after a later successful shopper-message submission.
Locations, settings and stockist application records are kept until uninstall or shop erasure. A matching, verified customer-erasure request can remove an application sooner. That request leaves any separate approved location records and their business contact details on your map for you to edit or delete.
Uninstalling
When Shopify delivers the uninstall webhook, the app deletes your store’s records and sessions. A delivered shop-erasure webhook removes any remaining store records. If Shopify delivers a verified customer-erasure request, the app removes matching optional-form submissions and related privacy-request records and snapshots within your shop. That customer erasure leaves public location and business records under your management.
