Dropwise launch film, built from real app screenshots: rename preview, History and Undo, rulesets, the Dropzone, File Tools and a delivery check.

For people who work with files

From product photos to client deliveries.

Name every shot by SKU and folder, then check the set before delivery.

Product photographers

Rename from a spreadsheet, rebuild product folders from a template and share rulesets.

E-commerce catalog teams

Check deliverables, then package a verified copy with a report and an optional ZIP.

Agencies and studios

Why Dropwise

Repeat file work, done the same way every time.

Preview first

See every rename, move and name collision in the main workspace before you run it.

History and Undo

Every run is recorded. Undo supported operations after Dropwise checks for changes and conflicts.

Rules without code

Conditions, name templates, counters, regex, SKU naming and CSV mapping in ordered rules.

Drop to run

Dropzone, edge drawer, menu bar, Finder, Shortcuts, keyboard shortcuts and watched folders.

File Tools

Collect files in the Drop Tray, then zip, extract, convert, tag, split or strip metadata.

Check and deliver

Check formats, sizes, image dimensions, PDF pages and required files before they leave.

See it before it happens.

Dropwise plans every rename and move, flags name collisions and freezes the plan. At Run it checks the files again, so what you reviewed is what changes.

Works with your files

Rename and organize any file. Converting is limited to images and PDFs.

Every run, remembered.

Runs are journaled as they happen, including File Tool runs. Review a run in History and preview Undo for supported operations. Changed files and conflicts are resolved before anything is restored.

Film A: Undo review in History, listing each file to move back to its original path.

Set up once. Reuse.

Match files by name, extension, date or contents. Rename with templates, counters, regex captures, SKU naming or a CSV mapping, then move, copy or hold items for review. Test on samples, save, and share with your team.

Film A: a ruleset's Rename to field with the variables you can insert.

Drop onto a saved action.

Open the floating Dropzone or the edge drawer and drop onto a ruleset, template or tool. Or start from the menu bar, Quick Open, the Finder service, Shortcuts or the Terminal helper. Configured drops can run immediately; incomplete or blocked plans wait for review.

Film A: the Dropzone with four saved actions beside the edge drawer of saved paths.

One tray. Ten File Tools.

Gather files from many folders in the Drop Tray, then run a tool: Zip, Extract, Convert images and PDFs, Find and Replace in names, Tags and color labels, Strip Metadata, Set File Date, Split Folder, Compare Folders or Move to Trash.

Film A: the File Tools list with Strip Metadata selected over the Drop Tray.

Catch problems before delivery.

Check file formats, sizes, image dimensions, PDF pages and required files. Then build a verified delivery copy with a report and an optional ZIP. Originals stay as they are.

Film A: a delivery check listing files that fail name and image-size rules.

And everything around it

Exact duplicates

Find identical files by content. Keep one; the extras move to a review folder, never deleted.

Folder clean-up

Organize by extension, flatten wrapper folders, remove empty ones and rebuild folder templates.

Review Inbox

Rules can hold arrivals for a person to check, then approve them in one previewed batch.

On-device assist

Optional on macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence: draft a ruleset from a sentence. Off by default.

Local by design

Files are processed on your Mac. Internet is used to start the trial and activate a license.

Common questions

Trial, buying, permissions and recovery.

Contact us
How does the free trial work?

Download Dropwise and choose Start 7-Day Trial when you are ready. Every feature is included. The trial never starts on download, and reinstalling does not restart it. Starting the trial needs internet access.

How much does Dropwise cost?

$39.99 for a Lifetime license, paid once. There is no subscription, monthly or yearly plan.

Who handles payment, tax and receipts?

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record. It takes payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and emails your receipt and license key.

Can I move my license to another Mac?

Yes. Open Settings › License › Deactivate This Mac while online, then activate the license on the new Mac with your key and purchase email.

What happens when the trial ends?

Run, Rulesets, Templates and Duplicates lock until you activate a license. History and Undo of changes Dropwise already made stay available, so you can still restore files.

Does Dropwise change my files without asking?

The main workspace previews before Run. Dropzone, Finder and watched-folder actions you configure can run immediately when the plan is complete and safe. Missing settings, collisions or access problems stop the run.

Can I undo a run?

History offers reviewed Undo for supported operations, with checks for changed files and conflicts. Delivery packages keep originals and use separate recovery, so they are not in History.

Why does it need Full Disk Access?

Dropwise works with the files and folders you choose, including protected locations. Onboarding explains Full Disk Access before file work begins. Finder control is used for Quick Open; notifications and Launch at Login are optional.

Does it work with server folders?

File changes are supported on local APFS disks and mounted SMB shares. Other file systems are refused. Compatibility with every NAS or cloud provider is not guaranteed.

What does on-device assist need?

macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence. It is off by default, runs on your Mac, and its drafts still go through Preview. Everything else works without it.
