Importing data

Keep locations in sync with a Google Sheet

Connect one shareable sheet and pull its changes into the locator.

Keep locations in sync with a Google Sheet

Prepare the sheet

Keep the location data in one tab and use the same column headings you would use for a CSV. An id column is optional but recommended because it gives each row a stable identity across edits.

Set the sheet's sharing to Anyone with the link and Viewer. The app reads the shared data without asking for access to a Google account.

Connect and map the columns

Connect the sheet in the app and map its headings once. New rows are created and geocoded as they arrive; linked rows are updated on later syncs.

Understand removals

When configured to mirror removals, a row deleted from the sheet removes only the location sourced from that sheet. Locations created manually or sourced from CSV or Shopify are not touched.

Disconnecting the sheet stops future syncs and leaves the imported locations in place.
