Store locator

Every location on one map that stays fast

Store Locator Pro puts your shops, stockists and showrooms on a map your customers can actually search — with no Google billing account to set up, no access to your store data, and room for forty thousand locations.

Store Locator Pro is finished and running, and is going through Shopify App Store submission. Ask for early access and we will tell you the moment it is installable.

The problem

“Where can I buy this?” is a question most stores answer badly

The shop-finder page is usually the oldest page on a storefront — a list of addresses someone pasted in once, or a map widget that broke when a billing alert went unread.

  • 01

The map needs a billing account before it draws anything

Most locators ask you to create a Google Cloud project, enable an API, attach a credit card and paste a key — before a single pin appears. Plenty of stores stop right there.

  • 02

It gets slow exactly when it matters

Widgets that ship your entire location list to every visitor are fine at twelve shops and painful at twelve hundred. The page that is meant to send someone to a store becomes the page they abandon.

  • 03

The app wants more of your store than it needs

A tool whose job is to draw pins on a map should not be asking to read your products, your orders or your customers. Many do anyway.

  • 04

Making it match your brand costs extra

Colours, wording and CSS are routinely paywalled to the top tier, so the locator ends up looking like somebody else's app bolted onto your storefront.

The answer

So it was built the other way round

Every one of those four problems was a design decision before it was a feature. Here is what each turned into.

  • 01

The map works the moment you install it

A built-in map with no API key, no cloud project and nothing to configure. If you would rather use your own Google or Mapbox tiles, bring your key — but you never have to.

  • 02

The map loads what is in view, not what is in your account

Data is scoped to the viewport and markers cluster as you zoom out, so the widget behaves the same at forty thousand locations as it does at four.

  • 03

It cannot read your store, because it never asks to

Store Locator Pro requests zero Shopify data scopes. Optional permissions are requested only if you choose to switch on Shopify location sync or in-store availability — and not before.

  • 04

Every colour and every word is yours, on every plan

Editable labels, editable colours, and custom CSS that loads after the widget's own styles so your overrides win. No “powered by” badge on any tier.

Features

What you get

Six things the app does, described the way the code actually behaves.

Built for 40,000+ locations

Viewport-scoped data and marker clustering keep the map fast at any catalogue size. The widget never downloads your full store list.

Imports that survive real spreadsheets

A two-step CSV import with automatic column matching, per-row validation, background geocoding that resumes and retries, and a pin-fix tool for the addresses that refuse to cooperate.

Zero-setup maps

A built-in map with no API key, no Google billing account, and nothing to configure. Bring your own Google or Mapbox key only if you prefer their tiles.

A “near me” search that converts

Geolocation with sensible fallbacks, address autocomplete, distance-sorted results, tag filters, open-now badges and one-tap directions.

Your brand, not ours

Colours, size and every widget label are editable to match your brand and your language. Custom CSS loads after widget styles, so your overrides stick. No “powered by” badge.

Private by design

Zero data scopes: the app cannot read your products, orders or customers. Search analytics store no shopper identity and delete themselves after 90 days.

Outcomes

What that is worth to you

Features are the mechanism. These are the outcomes they exist for.

  • Fewer people bounce off your shop finder

A search that returns the three nearest stores, sorted by distance, with directions one tap away, is a different page from a list of addresses in a table.

  • Your spreadsheet stops being the bottleneck

Import a CSV, sync a Google Sheet, or pull in the Shopify locations you already maintain — then keep any of them as the thing you edit.

  • Your locations become pages search engines can read

Optional per-location pages with LocalBusiness structured data and a sitemap, so a search for your brand plus a town has something to land on.

  • You find out where demand is going unmet

Search analytics show what shoppers looked for and where — including the searches that returned nothing, which is the interesting half.

  • Retailers can put themselves on your map

An optional storefront form lets stockists apply to be listed and notifies you, so the list grows without an inbox thread per shop.

  • Nothing about it needs a developer

The map goes onto your theme as a block from the theme editor. Setup is a guided checklist, and there is an assistant inside the app when you get stuck.

Use cases

Who it is for

Four situations the app was shaped around.

A retail chain

Dozens or hundreds of owned stores, each with its own hours, phone number and quirks.

One searchable map with open-now badges, tag filters for store type, and directions from wherever the shopper is standing.

A wholesale brand

Your products sit on other people's shelves, and the stockist list arrives as a distributor spreadsheet.

Import the spreadsheet, keep it synced from a Google Sheet, and let retailers apply to be added through your own storefront.

A brand with a few flagship stores

Four locations, a beautiful theme, and a shop-finder page that lets the whole thing down.

A map that matches your type and colours exactly, with custom CSS available on the entry plan rather than the top one.

A network selling stock that moves

Shoppers want to know not just where a store is, but whether the thing they want is in it.

Optional in-store availability turns “nearest store” into “nearest store that has it”, using inventory you already track in Shopify.

How it works

How it works

Four steps, none of which involve a developer or a cloud console.

  1. Install and start the trial

Every plan opens with a 7-day free trial. There is no free tier to outgrow and no feature held back for a higher one.

  2. Bring your locations in

Upload a CSV, connect a Google Sheet you already keep, or sync the locations already in your Shopify admin. Addresses geocode in the background, and anything ambiguous lands in a pin-fix queue instead of failing silently.

  3. Put the map on your storefront

Add the locator block from the theme editor onto any page. The app links you straight to the right screen — no theme code, no snippet to paste.

  4. Make it yours

Set colours and sizing, rewrite any label, pick your languages, and add custom CSS if you want finer control. Your styles load last, so they win.

Pricing

Four plans, and only one thing changes between them

The plans differ by how many locations you need. Nothing else — every feature is on every tier, including the entry one.

Starter

$9.99per month

Up to 100 locations

Everything included, at the size most single-brand stores actually are.

Most stores

Growth

$19.99per month

Up to 1,000 locations

For a growing chain or a stockist list that has outgrown a spreadsheet.

Pro

$39.99per month

Up to 10,000 locations

For distributor-scale networks across several markets.

Unlimited

$69.99per month

No location limit

Built for 40,000+ store networks, with the same feature set as every other tier.

All four plans include a 7-day free trial. There is no free plan. Billing runs through Shopify, so it appears on your normal Shopify invoice. Prices are set but the app is not yet installable from the App Store — join the early-access list and we will tell you when it is.

Questions

Questions merchants ask

Not answered here? Ask us directly — a person reads every message.

Do I need a Google Maps API key?
No. The map is built in and works from the moment you install, with no cloud project, no API key and no billing account. If you would rather use Google or Mapbox tiles, you can add your own key — it is an option, never a requirement.
What can the app see in my store?
Nothing, by default. Store Locator Pro requests zero Shopify data scopes, so it cannot read your products, orders or customers. Two features ask for an optional permission only if you switch them on: syncing your existing Shopify locations, and showing in-store availability.
How many locations can it actually handle?
The Unlimited plan has no location cap and the widget is built for networks of 40,000 and up. The map fetches only what is inside the current viewport and clusters markers as you zoom out, so the shopper's browser never receives the full list.
How do I get my locations in?
Three ways, and you can use whichever fits how you already work: a two-step CSV import with automatic column matching, an ongoing sync from a Google Sheet, or a pull from the locations already in your Shopify admin. Addresses geocode in the background and anything that fails goes to a pin-fix queue.
Will it slow my storefront down?
It is built not to. The widget requests only the locations in view rather than your whole list, and the storefront block loads on the page it is placed on rather than site-wide. A published before-and-after page-speed measurement is still to come — when it exists it will be linked here rather than summarised.
Can I make it match my theme?
Yes, and on every plan rather than only the top one. Colours, sizing and every visible label are editable, you can set the languages you serve, and custom CSS loads after the widget's own styles so your rules take precedence. There is no “powered by” badge on any tier.
What languages does the storefront widget support?
26 languages ship with the app, and every label can be overridden if you would rather word something your own way. A native-speaker review is still recommended before you lean on a specific language in your marketing.
Is it on the Shopify App Store yet?
Not yet. The app is built, running and going through submission. That is exactly why the button on this page says early access rather than install — when it is live, this page changes and the early-access list hears first.
What happens to shopper search data?
Searches are recorded without any shopper identity attached, they exist to show you what people looked for and where, and they delete themselves after 90 days. The full policy is on the app's own domain and is the version that governs.

Early access

Want it before everyone else?

Tell us about your store and how many locations you are working with. If Store Locator Pro is a fit, you will hear from a person — and you will be first in line when it goes live.

Already using it through early access? Support questions go to the same place, and the app carries an assistant and a guided setup checklist inside the admin.
