Fix a location that would not geocode

Correct an address or place a pin when the map cannot resolve it.

Fix a location that would not geocode

What Failed means

Geocoding converts a written address into map coordinates. A location that could not be resolved is marked Failed on the Locations page and stays off the storefront map until it has coordinates. The location is not deleted.

Incomplete addresses, missing countries and very new addresses are common causes. Adding the postal code and country resolves many failures.

Place the pin manually

Open the location, find the correct latitude and longitude in a map service, and enter those coordinates in the Fix pin fields. Saving them marks the location as manually placed so a later geocode does not overwrite the correction.

The app Home page shows a warning count while any locations remain in the failed state.
