Publish store pages and a search sitemap

Give indexable locations a page on your domain and submit their sitemap.

Publish store pages and a search sitemap

Publish the location directory

Turn on Publish a page for each location in Settings. The app creates a browsable directory at /apps/locator/stores and a fixed page beneath it for every location that has both a street address and a city.

Pages are served on your shop's own domain and include LocalBusiness structured data. A name-only location is not published because it does not contain enough useful information to index.

Submit the store sitemap

The app publishes /apps/locator/stores-sitemap.xml on the same shop domain. Submit that exact URL separately in Google Search Console because Shopify's own sitemap cannot include app-proxy pages.

A sitemap helps search engines discover the pages but does not guarantee or schedule indexing. Search engines decide when and whether to crawl them.
